| Steel plate shear walls have been introduced as a new kind of lateral resisting system for high rise steel structure building. It is precisely because it itself has high initial stiffness, high load-carrying capacity, good ductility, excellent energy absorption capacity, and stable hystersis loops taken by many scholars. Compared with unstiffened steel plate, diagonal stiffened plate shear walls can effectively restrain the larger out-panel deformation after the board of post-buckling, but also greatly enhance the carrying capacity of steel plate shear walls. In this paper, it has done following research for diagonal stiffened plate shear walls:(1) Firstly, low cyclic loading experiment of two 1:3 scale specimens of one-bay single story shear wall models with panel slenderness of 300. The test result shows that high initial stiffness, high load-carrying capacity, good energy dissipation and displacement can be achieved.(2) 4-node finite strain shell for diagonal stiffened SPSW was simulated and analyzed. The results show that the strength and stiffness of experimental investigation and analysis formulate as well.(3) The hysteretic behavior of diagonal stiffened SPSW was analyzed by FEM. The hysteretic behavior of diagonal stiffened SPSW was influenced by many factors, such as panel slenderness ratio, stiffness ratio of stiffener to panel, column stiffness, slenderness ratio of stiffener, aspect ratio of panel and normalized axial force etc. The research of load-displacement relationship, energy dissipation characteristics, displacement ductility capacity showed that diagonal stiffened SPSW was an excellent lateral resisting element. |
