As our country pays more attention to basic education,more and more schools,especially key middle schools,continue to expand their campuses.The new campuses tend to be far from the urban areas.Therefore,dormitories become the basic hardware for building new campuses.The dormitory is an important place for students to study and live during their school years.The dormitory not only meets the students' material needs,but also meets the psychological needs of the students.The old standards and models of dormitory construction no longer meet the requirements of the new era,while new standards and models are still being explored.Advances in architectural design also require constant reflection to achieve longer-term development.We should not only consider the construction of secondary school students' dormitory from the designer's point of view,we should also empathy,from the user's point of view to explore those aspects of the design process is ignored or covered,and use post-evaluation(POE)Is to study the design problem of middle school student dormitory from the perspective of such a transposition and to compare all aspects of the completed building with the initial design through a certain procedure to test whether the actual use of the building has reached the expected Assumption,belonging to the evaluation stage of the project.Not only does it provide feedback on the project,but it also has the ability to feed forward the building code and beyond.This article first clarifies the purpose,significance and research methods of the research.Through field post-evaluation(POE)methods,field surveys and researches were conducted on middle school students' dormitory in Central Inner Mongolia,and then the actual needs and satisfaction of both students and managers were evaluated as the focus of research.Problems in use were explored.The design flaws were analyzed and summarized based on the problems and deficiencies in the survey results.The layout of student dormitories was clearly defined.Finally,suggestions were made for future design.This article focuses on the spatial distribution characteristics of middle school students' dormitory in the middle of Inner Mongolia at this stage,and evaluates the spatial layout of middle school students' dorms from four aspects: the position layout of the dormitory in the school's general plan,the planar space,the linear space and the point space.The establishment of a post-employment evaluation model for middle school students' dormitories will facilitate the guidance of the architectural design practice for the dormitory of newly-built middle school students in the region,while providing reference for the construction of middle school students' dormitories in other regions of the country.
