As an important part of industrial products,engineering machinery products not only meets its functional characteristics but also is hoped that its appearance form can convey specific semantics under the current fierce market competition and the continuous development of science and technology.In order to meet this market demand and make the engineering machinery products designed more targeted,How to extract the morphologic genes of the engineering machinery products and establish the mapping relationship between the morphologic genes and the product semantics and how to optimize the design on the basis of the above become the key to designing engineering machinery products.This paper takes the roller as an example and introduces the related theories and methods of semantic analysis,product gene and computer-aided industrial design.It extracts the key genes and optimizes them to help industrial designers quickly generate a design proposal that meets market requirements and specific product semantics.Firstly,this paper carries out the morphological analysis of engineering machinery products from the point of product semantics,product form elements and product genes and sums up the key genes of the semantics and morphology of the roller.Secondly,this paper screens the semantic genes that conform to the form of the roller by the semantic differential method and extracts the representative sample of the roller by clustering analysis.It extracts the key semantic gene representing the roller by factor analysis on the basis of the above.It extracts the key morphological genes of the roller based on the morphological analysis and constructs the mathematical model of the relationship between the key semantic genes and the key morphological genes of the roller by the introduction of the quantitative I class theory.It obtains the score values of each morphological element contained in each form and partial correlation coefficient between various morphologic genes and the semantic genes by the least square method.The relationship between each semantic gene and various morphological genes of roller is.analyzed and summarized based on these results.Thirdly,each morphological element contained in the key morphological genes of the roller is binary coded,and the interactive genetic algorithm is used to optimize thecombination of morphological gene elements which meet the different semantic gene combinations.A satisfactory solution is found that meets the requirements of the designer through the process of genetic evolution.Finally,based on the above theoretical process a prototype system of the roller optimization design is built on the basis of the interactive genetic algorithm by Axure.
