In recent years, the fog and haze in major cities in the country has continued to increase. As one of the important means to reduce pollution sources, the development of green transport has attracted more and more attention. In the current research on green vehicle routing, the main way to reduce fuel consumption and pollution emissions is to reduce repeated transportation. The transport route between two transport nodes is often the shortest choice criterion. However, the running speed and emission of vehicles under different road conditions will also be significantly different, and the different road conditions are significantly reflected in the road grades. In China, the highway is divided into five grades, which correspond to five different road conditions and vehicle speed and pollutant discharge characteristics.Taking full account of the impact of road grades on the speed and emissions of transport vehicles, the goal of minimizing emissions is bound to have a positive effect on reducing total emissions of pollutants. The contents and main achievements of this study are as follows:Firstly, the characteristics of the running speed corresponding to different grades of roads.Considering the main factors affecting the running speed of different grades of roads, the prediction models of characteristic sections such as horizontal curve, vertical slope and vertical curve are established respectively, and the prediction model of running speed under different grades of roads is finally obtained.Secondly, the characteristics of vehicle emission corresponding to different grades of roads. On the basis of cluster analysis of the running speed and the VSP distribution of heavy-duty vehicles under different grades of roads, the pollutant emissions of heavy vehicles, such as CO,HC,NOX and PM2.5,were calculated by MOVES model.Thirdly, the path optimization model of green vehicle based on road classification is set up.Based on the running speed of the vehicle emissions, corresponding to different levels of road, the traditional VRP model is improved to calculate total emissions in the constraints, and added to the emissions targets, finally obtained the green VRP optimization model fully embodies the influence of the road grade, the optimization software LINGO encoding implementation. Finally,in order to test the effectiveness of the improved model,it is applied to a specific distribution case, and its optimization results are compared with the general model. The results show that the transportation route optimized by this model can reduce the delivery time by 50% and reduce the total pollutant emission by 70.7%.It can be seen that the difference in highway grade is an important factor which can not be ignored in improving the efficiency of transportation and developing green VRP.The green transportation path based on highway classification has a certain reference significance for reducing transportation emission.
