Wind power is characterized by strong randomness and volatility.Large-scale wind power integration will affect the stable operation of the power system,and wind farms will wind curtailed when the load is low.The pumped-storage power station has the characteristics of quick startup and shutdown,large capacity adjustment range,flexible operation modes,and is the most effective measure to solve the problem of wind power consumption.This paper mainly studies the optimization of the pumped storage operation mode so as to more effectively realize the absorption of wind power.First,this paper analyzes the functions of the peak shaving and wind power accommodation in a pumped-storage power station.Under the premise of satisfying system requirements and various constraints,an optimization model for wind power access in the system is established.Then take the power grid of a certain area as the research object,the optimization operation mode of the pumping power station is analyzed.Using the Gurobi optimizer to solve the optimization model.The optimization results show that before the wind power access system takes the minimum coal consumption of the thermal power unit as the goal,the pumped storage power station can well track the changes of the load,exert its role of peaking and filling valleys.After the wind power is connected to the system,the target wind power is added to minimize the amount of wind,and pumped storage not only plays a role in peak regulation,but also allows more wind power to be consumed by the system and reduces the waste of clean energy.Finally,the factors affecting the absorption of wind power by pumped storage power stations are analyzed from the correlation between wind power forecast output and load curves,and wind power penetration rate.The optimization results show that the more closely related,the smaller the peak pressure of the corresponding system,and the less the wind is discarded.The increase in the penetration rate of wind power also increases the proportion of wind power to be discarded.However,there is a regulation limit for pumped-storage power stations,and the capacity of pumped-storage power stations is significantly reduced.In planning and constructing a wind farm,proper capacity must be selected to avoid excessive energy waste.
