The tire crane is widely used for port handling because of its flexibility and mobility.It releases a large amount of potential energy when the load is being lay down.Part of the potential energy is converted to electricity by the motor,and the other part is converted to heat by the brake.However,the revive electricity is consumed by energy consumption resistance instead of reusing in the traditional tire crane.Therefore,it is of great significance to select an appropriate storage device to recycle and reuse such energy.Currently,the energy saving technology for tire crane has two mainly ways,respectively Bus Energy Storage and Oil to Electricity.Using electricity instead of oil,the energy consumption significantly reduces,as well as the working area of tire crane.Using Bus Energy Storage technology,the structure is becoming less stability and reliability.Taking LQD60 tire crane as the research object,the paper proposes a modified scheme based on double hoist lifting mechanism.By means of the supercapacitor,the potential energy of the goods can be recovered,and the purpose of energy saving is achieved.The main research work in the paper are as follows:(1)Analyzed the energy consumption and transformation characteristics of each mechanism in detail.And taking LQD60 as an example to calculate the potential energy of the lifting mechanism and the variable amplitude mechanism under different working conditions.(2)Proposed a scheme of hybrid power system based on super capacitor.Analyzed the characteristics of each component of the system and completed the calculation and the selection of the super capacitor.(3)Proposed a preliminary control scheme of the improved energy-saving system,design the control system combined with PLC and DSP based framework,and developed the specific control strategies of diesel engine,electric motor and supercapacitor in each working conditions.(4)Established the simulation model of each components in the energy-saving system and the lifting mechanism by MATLAB/SIMULINK software,completed the simulation of the lifting mechanism in single condition and continuous condition in order to verify the feasibility of the scheme and optimize the control strategy.
