With the development of computer technology,modern industrial technology and modern design theory,modern design method has become one of the key content areas of research.With respect to mechanical products,three-dimensional parametric technology has been widely applied in many areas and in some industries there is a trend that two-dimensional drawings will be replaced by three-dimensional model,so the three-dimensional parametric design technology is one of the general directions of design development.In this paper,we take Portal of W.S.of quayside container crane as the study of key three-dimensional parametric design technology applied in port lifting machinery metal structure.We achieve the parametric modeling of Portal of W.S.through CREO three-dimensional parametric modeling software widely used CREO and its Pro / TOOLKIT secondary development tools.This paper introduces the basic knowledge of Pro / TOOLKIT and the method establishing communications between Pro / TOOLKIT and Visual Studio2010.Simultaneously the Pro / TOOLKIT secondary development of general steps is introduced in the prior application development environment,and make sure have a certain understanding of basic knowledge and the program framework.On the ocean side beam parametric modeling process,to determine the relationship between the model parameters and drive parameters is an important part,including part and assembly positioning parameter and model parameters,and then implemented by Pro / TOOLKIT and MFC interface parameter object Portal of W.S.of the three-dimensional model of beam shape control.Users only need to enter the sea side of the model parameters correctly,and then get a three-dimensional Portal of W.S.The traditional assembly methods to each component are all specified all constraints,which is a complex and inefficient operation.On the ocean side of the crossbeam and longitudinal beam ribs modeling process,this paper uses a relatively new method of assembly-assembly by coordinate system.After the understanding of the characteristics of the assembly and assembly principle,this article will make a detail presentation about coordinate element Department of assembly coordinate system,the coordinate system coincides implementation assembly,completed the crossbeam and longitudinal ribs assembly modeling by automatic coordinate system coincides with the new coordinate system,a combination of methods.After the three-dimensional model created,ANSYS finite element model automatically is created by parametric design language APDL to check the Portal of W.S.
