Research On Organizational Modes Of Technology Innovation By China's New Energy Vehicle Enterprises

China's new energy vehicle industry is now and will continue to receive high attention from the country.Since the rapid development in 2011,new energy vehicle enterprises have been striving for technology innovations,but they have been bound by many technology bottlenecks.It is helpful to explore the choices about organizational modes of technology innovations as well as the reasons and performance of their choices among the new energy vehicle enterprises in China,so that we can have a more comprehensive understanding of the technology innovation activities of China's new energy vehicle enterprises and to put forward some pertinent suggestions.In this paper,seven new energy vehicle manufacturing enterprises,which are publicly listed,are selected as the research objects.The main types,basic characteristics,influencing factors and performance of organizational modes of these enterprises' technology innovations are explored by using the content analysis method with the intelligent analysis tools and the statistical analysis software.The results show that "independent and isolated R&D" and "enterprise alliance R&D " are the mainstream technology innovation organization modes of new energy vehicle enterprises in China."Independent and isolated R&D" lays more emphasis up on the autonomy,security,differentiation and self-promotion of technology innovations than the " enterprise alliance R&D ",while the latter pays more attention to the activities closely related to business operation.The "technology level","corporate strategy" and "resources acquisition" are the three most significant factors that influence the choice of the organizational modes of technology innovations for new energy vehicle companies.Finally,it is found that the performance of "independent and isolated R&D" technology innovation organizational mode is significantly greater than that of " enterprise alliance R&D ".In summary,based on the new energy vehicles enterprises in China,this paper draws a comprehensive,systematic and in-depth exploration of its practice in the organizational modes of technology innovations,and puts forward some management suggestions on how to organize the technology innovations more efficiently in the future.
