"Imagine" The Future Of Art Theatre Architecture In Shenzhen

With the development of the film industry in China,the number of cinemas and the number of movie screens have increased rapidly,and the records of previous years have been constantly updated.Movie theater has become an important cultural and entertainment building in people's daily life.At present,cinemas mainly show the giant production of commercial movie in china,and commercial movie creation for the purpose of maximizing market efficiency,except lack substantive content.However,the art film emphasizes the author's personal expression of social status and social issues without strong appeals for commercial interests.The Art Cinema specializes in the screening of literary movies and classic movies.It is relatively small in size and provides viewing space for only a few fixed groups.However,the establishment of art cinema plays an important role in disseminating the essence of art,cultivating the quality of audience and promoting the further development of China's film industry.However,with the popularization of the Internet,the appearance of movie theaters such as mobile cinema and home theater has made more challenges in the survival and development of art cinemas in China.The author's research on this subject is based on her own hobby for movies.She cannot usually watch an art films in cinema,but only through the resources of network,thus creating research ideas for architectural design of art cinemas.This paper first explains the related concepts involved in art cinema,defines the category of art cinema,describes the history of the development and the characteristics of art cinema.Besides,with the rapidly economic growth of Shenzhen in recent years,more and more people and schools choose to stay in Shenzhen,therefor,the consumption in culture is also becoming increasing.However,Shenzhen's cinema buildings still remain on the type of multi-hall cinema combined with commercial complexes.The author integrates the urban background of Shenzhen and “image”the development of art cinemas in Shenzhen.Domestic research on movie cinemas started later than the western countries,mostly focusing on theater screening technology and equipment technology.Art cinema buildings are mostly focused on survival difficulties and operating models.There is a lack of research data on theater space and forms from an architectural perspective.This paper is based on theresearch of demand theory,behavior theory and place theory,through the investigation and research on Shenzhen's mature commercial complex multi-room cinema and questionnaire survey on potential crowds of Shenzhen art cinema,including research of Beijing art cinema.Using the crowd to conduct a questionnaire survey,we summarized the features of the current multi-cinema and the art cinema function planning.Finally,art cinema buildings are divided into three different styles by playing different movie themes,summarize the design strategy for different styles of art cinemas.It is hoped that this will attract more movie lovers' attention to art cinemas.It also hopes to provide useful design guidance and reference for future art cinema architectural design and research,and it has a certain positive significance for the development of art cinema buildings in China.
