| Taking Yangling district,Xianyang city of Shaanxi province as an example,this paper studies the public space of rural community as the research object.Relying on multi-theories of social space production,life-world and the pattern language,this paper conducts a comprehensive analysis of the current situation and construction mode of rural public space from multiple aspects based on perspective of public activity,in order to discover the problems existing in its spatial design and construction practice and to summarize the wisdom and experience of construction mode.Based on the above,this study will propose planning strategies as effective approach to explore indigenous design methods of rural public space.This paper firstly sorts out the background from four aspects including the development of times,rural construction,science of human settlement and public resources,and comes up with five aspects of objectives and significance including concept definition,survey of the current state,feature capture,problem discovery and strategy proposal.Secondly,the theory of "public space" is summarized into four perspectives including visual aesthetics,cognitive intention,behavioral psychology and public sphere based on the development of sciences of human settlements.Then this study defines the concepts of "rural community","public life in rural community"," public space of rural community ",and analyzes several cases of public space construction in rural communities at home and abroad.Thirdly,the study summarizes problems and demands of rural public space based on investigation and case analysis of four types of public space——space of production,space of public life,space of social governance,space of religion——in five new rural communities of Yangling district which includes eight administrative villages and forty natural villages.At the end,this study comes up with three principles of public space construction including the life-cycle balance,and concluded that the spatial sequence of the stratification is the typical feature of the distribution of public space in rural communities,the "spatial node + activity event" is the basic model of the construction of public space in rural communities,and the three main conclusions,such as the localization space construction logic,which pay attention to the location intention and behavior psychology,and proposes improvement approaches and planning strategies for reformation of rural public space. |
