As a new type of ship propulsion,the water jet propulsion pump is a complex mechanical system which integrates high-speed rotating machinery,hydraulic transmission and control technology,driving the ship forward by pushing the flow of water through the propulsion pump.And the water jet propulsion has many advantages,such as excellent operating performance,strong anti-cavitation ability,high propulsion efficiency,smooth driving,low noise and environmental protection.With the continuous in-depth study of water jet propulsion at home and abroad in recent years,water jet propulsion will have a great market prospect.As a key component in the water jet propulsion system of ships,the performance of the water jet pump affects the navigation of the whole ship.The simulation software in the past single field cannot meet the needs of the whole modeling and simulation analysis of the marine water jet propulsion pump,which is coupled to the multiple systems of mechanical components,hydraulic components and control elements.Therefore,it is of great significance to carry out multi-domain modeling and simulation analysis of marine water jet propulsion pump.First of all,this paper studies the theory of water jet propulsion and the working principle of water jet pump,the balance of the water jet propulsion system and the quantitative relationship between the parameters of the water jet pump are analyzed,and the structure of the water jet pump is described,the modeling and simulation technology are discussed in the multidisciplinary field,and the research plan and method of the water jet propulsion system are determined.Secondly,according to the mechanical structure of the water jet propulsion pump,it is decomposed into several parts,such as the pump body,the steering mechanism and the reversing mechanism,and the three-dimensional model of the water jet pump is built with the help of UG software,and the water jet pump is introduced into the multi-domain and multi-disciplinary modeling and simulation platform SimulationX software.And on this basis,the simulation models of the mechanical system,hydraulic system and control system of the water jet propulsion pump is established,and then,the three systems are connected through the component converter in the SimulationX to make it an organic whole.Finally,according to the principle of water jet propulsion,the mathematical model ofwater jet propulsion system is set up.In the simulation platform of SimulationX software,simulation modules of the diesel engine and ship are built by the model base of the software,and the water jet propulsion pump simulation module that is not available in the software is developed with the help of the Modelica language,and the different simulation modules are carried out effectively.Finally,the simulation model of the water jet propulsion system is completed.Then,in the SimulationX environment,the whole water jet propulsion system is simulated and analyzed,so that the whole system can be simulated in the virtual environment.The comprehensive performance of the water jet propulsion pump is studied.And then the accuracy and reliability of the system model is verified by the comparison and analysis of the experimental data.A convenient and efficient analysis platform for the simulation of water jet propulsion system is created to provide a useful reference for the design of the water jet propulsion pump and the study of the ship power.
