The light steel structure residential building with cold-formed thin-walled steel as the main load-bearing component is a kind of environmentally-friendly and safe housing form,which is widely adopted in the world currently.The industrial production mode of light steel housing can precisely control the properties of materials,and the prefabricated construction mode can greatly shorten the construction period.In the traditional residential building,the energy consumption level is very high,and the labor intensity is very heavy;the secondary decoration will bring about waste of resources.In some degree,the light steel structure residential building can overcome above-mentioned problems.Under the background of promoting housing industrialization in China,it is of great practical significance to develop the light steel housing system with cold-formed thin-walled section steel as the main load-bearing component.However,after a large number of field investigations,this thesis finds that the domestic light steel residential system lacks a unified design standard in practice.The non-standardized design and construction control of its component system has become a key factor to restrict the quality improvement of light steel residential buildings in China.The rise of BIM technology is very important to enhance the management efficiency in the design and construction process of light steel systems.Currently,most of the researches on the application of BIM technology in light steel residential system focus on the application perception of BIM technology,which provides a theoretical support for the development of BIM application environment and application strategy.However,the research on the information management of BIM technology in the whole process of design and construction of light steel house is almost blank.The main content of this research is to explore how to improve the design quality and construction quality of light steel housing system through the intervention of BIM technology,and conduct the highefficiency control on the whole process of design and construction.This thesis consists of five chapters,and the contents of each chapter are as follows:The first chapter explains the background,purpose,and significance of the research.It reviews the origin of the light steel residential system,the current development situation of light steel housing at home and abroad,and the current development situation of BIM technology;it summarizes the current situation of relevant theories on the light steel housing system at home and abroad;it expounds that the main content of the research is to carve out the BIM software tools suitable for China's light steel housing system.In addition,it summarize the application flow planning as well as the application methods of BIM technology in the light steel housing system in each stage of design and construction.The second chapter mainly explores the application value and problems of BIM technology in light steel residential system.It defines the application scope of Building Information Model(BIM)technology in light steel residential system at home and abroad,and points out two important key points when combining BIM technology with light steel residential system: data sharing and cooperative operation;it also summarizes many problems in the application of BIM technology in light steel residential system.The problems are as follows: the tool selection of the software is very difficult;the model accuracy is to be improved;the application process planning is very confused;it lacks the guidance of detailed application methods;it is short of the targeted technical standards;technical personnel is not experienced.The third chapter summarizes the methods of establishing BIM model in the process of design and construction of light steel housing system with the aim to solve the problem in lack of specific standards in the light steel residential system on the basis of the previous analysis of the Building Information Model(BIM).The methods are as follows:(1)"Modularization Design",aiming at unifying the design standard for component model.(2)"Product generalization",aiming at the commonality of the component model interface.(3)" Principles for Model Information Standardization",aiming at the exploration of BIM Model,BIM Database Information Storage,and the retrieval standards.According to those establishment methods,it establishes the frame guiding model of light steel house structure,and summarizes the construction method and management flow of BIM database are summarized and summarized.The fourth chapter explains information management in whole process of building information model(BIM)technology in the design and construction of light steel housing system through the field investigation and practice;it also summarizes the application flow and the application method in design research and development link,deepen design link,component production link,and construction link of BIM technology in the light steel housing system.The conclusion chapter of this thesis summarizes the findings of the research.The reasonable application flow and the detailed application method of BIM technology in light steel residential system are obtained;the application prospect of the research result is analyzed.At the same time,the shortcomings of the research work and the future research direction are discussed simultaneously.
