With advantages of energy efficiency,economy and applicability,District Cooling has become an important solution for central air-conditioning concentrated cooling.Its application has won wide popularity for over fifty years abroad,hence the prospects are bright.On the other hand,due to unreasonable selection of District Cooling program and lack of supervision and evaluation,some projects still faced problems of high energy consumption,high cost of operation,etc.Therefore,reasonable choice of District Cooling program,configuration of automatic control and evaluation system,real-time operation system of dynamic monitoring of District Cooling,will give full play of District Cooling to its superiority.The main work and conclusions for the research are as follows:Based on comprehensive analysis of various District Cooling programs,the research recommends that District Cooling is particularly applicable to the buildings demand of sustained cooling and high cooling density.Focus on one living project of Huawei R&D base,the research provides scheme demonstration and application of District Cooling,including energy-saving program filtering for main equipments,configuration of automatic control and evaluation system,real-time operation system of dynamic monitoring,implementation of the scheme and data analysis,etc.The conclusions based on demonstration of four schemes are as following: Energy storage program should be adopted in power input refrigeration District Cooling system and in area conducting peak valley electricity price.It’s the best choice economically.Merits of energy storage technology are obvious in partial load cooling period,especially with high cooling discharge proportion.District Cooling can achieve its economic optimum when discharge of cooling meeting the cooling load demand in transitional season.The conclusions based on analysis of equipment selection and energy saving measures are as following: The Chiller Unit energy saving is the key point in power input refrigeration District Cooling scheme,which accounts for more than 60% of the central energy consumption.Solutions by reducing the cooling water temperature,or increasing the cold chilled water temperature according to the outdoor wet bulb temperature,or guaranteed the refrigerator current ratio operation in range of 60% to 80%,can improve the energy efficiency.But there are no obvious changes if kept decreasing the temperature when the cooling water temperature already below 20℃ and refrigerator load ratio below 30%.The research helps to realize the misconception of energy-saving was controlled by cooling water pump frequency conversion.It was only when the setting within reasonable frequency that the water pump can ensure energy-efficiency.The conclusions based on research of the whole District Cooling operation system are as following: Establishment of District Cooling Evaluation System,including energy metering,the combination of energy efficiency evaluation and group control system,provides the program with the load prediction,Real-time energy consumption monitoring and EER evaluation.Meanwhile adjusting and controlling feedback optimizes the operation strategy,thus energy consumption of the system is significantly decreased and operation cost saved.
