With the rapid development of social economy and the continuous expansion of cities,our country has entered the unprecedented process of urbanization,in which many cities face a lot of problems such as urbanization,motorization and marketization.The traditional pattern of urban development cannot satisfy the requirement of urban sustainable development yet.With the large crowds of people moving into cities,the number of vehicles rapidly increases.Urban traffic jam becomes the main problem restricting the spacial development of China's big cities.In recent years,there are many scholars who have been fully aware that the government wants to solve the traffic problem completely in which building roads alone is not enough.The fundamental way of improving urban traffic lies in the development of public transport,especially the environmental friendly urban rail transit with a large capacity and a high efficiency,which is at the heart of the TOD concept.TOD theory and practice of the study is one of the research focus internationally.And TOD mode research starts relatively late in our country,where the existing research is stuck in a certain kind of concept and case analysis and summary stage.TOD mode in our country has not yet formed a system of planning theory which can guide through practice.First of all,on the basis of fully study related theory and practice both at home and abroad,this paper summarizes the basic theory of TOD mode and analysis on the connotation,based on SWOT analysis to discusses of the development of Chinese urban rail transit TOD mode.The paper clarifies the necessity of TOD mode development in our country,and put forward the process of the construction of the development of rail transit TOD mode.Respectively from the macro,meso,and micro levels: the key to make a qualitative or quantitative analysis of the system.Second,research on the development model of rail transit TOD was carried out.On a macro level,the orientation problem in the construction of rail transit are analyzed in this paper,and oriented model is constructed based on the theory of grey situation decision-making.In the medium level,in this paper,the reasonable rail transit line network scale is analyzed,and according to the traffic demand analysis was carried out on the reasonable line network scale density.At the micro level,this paper emphasizes the surrounding land use control of railway stations,modeling and analyzing ranged from site region classification,the determination of impact range and surrounding areas land configuration.Third,rail transit site of TOD community planning and research was carried out in this paper,then the study of TOD community planning is carried out from the pedestrian friendly road network system,traffic,rail transit station surrounding areas along the land comprehensive development forms,etc.Finally,taking Dalian City as an example,the paper analyses the urban development in Dalian and the present situation of traffic planning,it also studied the related model of rail transit TOD development in Dalian.
