The subway has become the most important means of transport to ease the urban traffic pressure.How to ensure the subway fire safety is a crucial issue.Fire hydrant fire extinguishing system is the most widely used fire fighting system.But there are many differences in the subway design,so it is difficult to ensure its safety and economy.In this paper,Flowmaster software is used to simulate the parameters such as water quantity,water pressure and pressure fluctuation of subway fire hydrant water supply system.The problem of interval water supply and whether to set up a fire pool are studied.The conclusion of the study is to optimize the design of the second phase of metro line 2 in a city.The main contents and conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)When the subway station spacing within 1km,the water supply of “One station one interval” will not affect the choice of the fire pump head and the time of reaching the stability.And the system does not have overpressure.When the distance between the subway stations is more than 1km,the “One station two half intervals” can reduce construction costs and the time of reaching the stability,and significantly reduce the number of overpressure hydrants.(2)For the subway stationwhich has only one municipal water source,when two subway station elevation equal and the spacingis more than 1.5km,or spacing of 1.5km and height difference is more than 10 m,the program of water source sparing for each other can not be chosen due to overpressure reason and fire pool must be set up.In other conditions,whether to set up a fire pool need further economic analysis.(3)Bymodeling and verifying the preliminary design of the second phase of a metro line,the results show that the preliminary design can meet the requirements of water supply safety,but there is still room for optimization in terms of economy.The optimization increase the cost of fire pumps and water supply pipe but reduced four fire pools.It saved 2,305,600 yuan under the premise of water supply safety.
