With the rapid development of national economy,the urban rail vehicles become the main transportation of large and medium-sized cities.Lightweight vehicle structure is one of the targets pursued by manufacturing technologies of modern urban rail vehicles,as light weight can reduce material consumption and vehicle manufacturing cost,and the energy consumption for vehicle operation is in inverse proportion of vehicle weight.The paper based on the requirement of the lightweight vehicles,carries out the research on the lightweight hoods of the urban rail vehicles.Unsaturated polyester resin as matrix,carbon fiber and glass fiber as reinforcing material,by adding aluminum hydroxide to meet the system performance of flame retardant,carbon/glass hybrid composites hood is manufactured with vacuum bag molding process,that could satisfy the requirement of urban rail vehicle hood performance.System research content of curing agent,accelerating agent content on the resin curing time,the influence of the temperature and resin content,aluminum hydroxide content on the properties of composite materials,further research on carbon/glass hybrid composite materials mechanics performance.On this basis,according to the operating requirements of the urban rail vehicle hoods,carbon/glass hybrid composites hood is studied in finite element analysis and performance verification,at the same time studied the carbon/glass hybrid composite material preparation technology of the hood.The study found that in the same dosage of cobalt naphthenate promoter,the increase of the amount of methyl ethyl ketone peroxide curing agent,can improve the resin curing exothermic peak at the temperature,reducing the curing time of the resin,accelerating the barcol hardness increase rate of the resin;In the same dosage of methyl ethyl ketone peroxide curing agent,the increase of the amount of cobalt naphthenate promoter,can improve the resin curing exothermic peak at the temperature,curing time of the resin,its Barcol hardness is the same grade,but after cobalt naphthenate accelerator dosage of more than 20%,gel time has little change,the Barcol hardness of resin declines;With the rise of the temperature of the environment,the gel time of resin and curing time will be shorten,due to the low heat resistance of unsaturated polyester resin,with the temperature of the operating environment rising,bending performance of composite materials will decline;With the increase of resin content,the tensile strength of the composite,bending strength,impact toughness increased to a maximum value first,then decreases,and when the resin content is 50%,the impact toughness of composites is best performed;with the increase of aluminum hydroxide adding amount of composite material performance of oxygen index increased,the tensile strength of the composite material performance is on the decline.Further study found that 3.5 mm + 27 mm + 3.5 mm of the structure of the carbon/glass hybrid composites can satisfy four standards of the hood performance requirements of city rail vehicle,including UIC651-2002,DIN 52210-6-1989,UIC 567-2004,DIN5510-2:09.Compared with glass fiber reinforced composite materials hood,the hood of carbon/glass hybrid composite materials achieve weight loss of 15.3%.
