Port is an important node of international trade.As an important hub port and open door in the north of China,the status and role of Port of Tianjin is very important.In the background of "The Belt and Road" and the construction of Beijing Tianjin Hebei collaborative development strategy,the development of Port of Tianjin plays an important role in the construction of China's Tianjin city became the core of the northern international shipping.It is urgent to analyze and study about that how to reasonably carry out the port layout and effectively promote the upgrading of the port industry.The purpose of this paper is to optimize the layout of port of Tianjin,first,summarizing the research achievements of scholars at home and abroad,and the related theories of the Port Economics and the Spatial Economics.Second,using the Spatial Economics theory to analyze the "The Belt and Road" strategy,Through the analysis of the basic conditions of the Port of Tianjin,clearly the role and status of the Port of Tianjin in the "The Belt and Road" strategy.Third,analyzing the external opportunities and challenges faced by the Tianjin Port.The principal component analysis and gravity model will be used to calculate main port 's gravity so as to confirm its position,that is constructing the port groups in Circum-Bohai Sea Region.The result show that the Port of Tianjin have the largest city economic competitiveness and gravity competitiveness in Circum-Bohai Sea Region.But,its port infrastructure needs to be strengthened and its city economic development does not match the Port of Tianjin develpoment.Based on the analysis of the internal distribution of the Port of Tianjin,it is found that the layout of the port,land use,port city interaction,dry port layout and the radiation capacity of the hinterland are inadequate.Last,drawing lessons from the layout experience of three ports,In order to promoting the transformation and upgrading of the Port of Tianjin,and accelerating the completion of China's northern international shipping core area,the paper puts forward the countermeasures to optimize the layout of the Port of Tianjin:Taking advantage of "The Belt and Road",breaking "the path dependence",establishing an international shipping center,clearly its core port status;Optimizing the layout of Port,Port Economic Zone,port industry zone's business and Industry,improve the comprehensive competitiveness of port.Strengthening the interactive spatial structure between port and city,and establishing the integrated transportation system of port and city.Strengthening the layout of inland dry port and improving the radiation ability of port to the economic hinterland.
