The Economic Globalization accelerates the development of modern supply chain and international multimodal transport, and promotes the growth in demand of the integrated logistics and multimodal transport, so the port has become an important part of the global supply chain. The competition between ports has changed from the operation ability of the basic construction to the economic hinterland competition and become more and more intense. Development of dry port as an effective measure to expand economic hinterland will become the focus of competition between ports in the next period of time. If the Tianjin wants to get greater advantages in competition and accelerate the development of the port, must pay attention to the development of dry port. How to use the inland resources effectively and coordinate the port operation and enhance the port Competition becomes an important problem to be solved.This thesis based on the concept of "dry port" and some related theory, analyses the internal and external environment of the dry port construction in Tianjin port. Combining with present development situation of the dry port in Tianjin port, the thesis elaborates the opportunities and the challenges in developing the dry port of Tianjin port. Based on the hub and spoke network model, this thesis creates the Tianjin port layout network optimization model in order to minimize the total cost. First, it determines the location of the pivotal point and the node distribution. Second, it considers the transportation cost and operation cost in order to determine the total cost. Third, it uses an example to prove the validity of the algorithm. Finally, it discusses the development strategy of dry port of Tianjin Port.
