With the rapid development of electric power industry,the traditional method of recording electricity meters has gradually become obsolete and is no longer used.Now,the most commonly used method of meter reading is power line carrier communication.However,the meter reading system based on power line carrier communication has some limitations such as high volatility,followed by high maintenance and repair costs.Thus the research in this field in recent years has been focused on how to develop a facile and effective meter reading system.In this thesis we first summarized the structure and characteristics of remote meter reading system based on power line carrier communication,then we proposed a new routing algorithm for the low voltage electric power line carrier network to improve the stability of the system.The power line carrier automatic meter reading system is composed of a concentrator(carrier meter,collector)and a PC.The data were collected and stored by the concentrator and then analyzed by the PC.The testing results showed that the routing algorithm proposed reduced the time that the data pass through the routing table and improved the efficiency of the meter reading system.The system developed in this thesis has important application prospects. |
