Wind turbine is a mechanical device that use wind as its motivation to generate electric.As the increasing demand of energy,the research on wind turbine is becoming mature.Comparing with other kinds of wind turbine,research om micro wind turbine is rare,especially on the structure and airfoil.Something has been done for this phenomenon?In this paper,working in normal situation and the power is 5W micro wind turbine has been chosen as the research object:(1)Calculate parameters before structuring.Choose proper airfoil for the next step,get the best attack angle is 6° for design by comparing the lift and drag ratio and the output data after CFD simulation.Then use the lift coefficient and formula equation to get the information of every chord length?torsional angle and partial established angle.(2)Use several software such as Profili?CAXA?SolidWorks?ANSYS workbench?ANSYS ICEM to structure the 3D model‘build the flow field and the grid meshing.CFD simulation for three airfoils at wind speed from 3m/s to 10m/s,attack angle from 2° to 13°.The final data showed in 20-70 with the attack angle increase the static pressure difference also increase,after 7° this phenomenon not that obvious;under special attack angle,as the wind speed increase,the static pressure difference also increase,final become parallel.(3)Use the commonly used software Fluent in CFD calculation analysis,set the pressure solver,select the turbulence model with the K-epsilon RNG method,set the discrete method and use the pressure velocity coupling calculation method for numerical simulation.Analyzed static pressure?velocity vectors around the airfoil of each section and the static pressure distribution on the blade.The output showed under wind speed 3m/s?4m/s,airfoil BE8258 is more proper for operation,5m/s is BE 8358B,6m/s is BE8406C.Airfoil BE8358B is more proper operate from 3 m/s to 6m/s.
