Belt conveyor is an ideal equipment to achieve efficient and continuous transportation.Compared with other conveying equipment,it has the advantages of long conveying distance,large transportation capacity,continuous running,reliable operation,centralized and automatic control.It has been widely used In the power,mining,metallurgy,coal and many other fields.In the belt conveyor design process,the running resistance coefficient greatly impact on the power,and the indentation rolling resistance occupies the largest proportion of the main resistance,it is the main factors that causes belt conveyor energy consumption.So the analysis and calculation of indentation rolling resistance is very important to design the belt conveyor.The rolling resistance of the belt conveyor is caused by the viscoelasticity of the cover layer of the conveyor belt.According to the generation mechanism of the indentation rolling resistance,the one-dimensional physical model is used.According to the geometrical relationship,constitutive relationship,the mathematical model of indentation rolling resistance was established.The viscoelastic properties of the cover layer are determined by the standard linear solid model and the Maxwell model,respectively.The constitutive equation is obtained by the Prony series and the stress relaxation function.The relationship between the storage modulus,dissipation modulus and Prony series parameters of the viscoelastic material was deduced.For the Prony series parameter,the paper adopts the genetic algorithm to solve.Comparing the results of two viscoelastic models,the indentation rolling resistance per unit width and the rolling resistance coefficient were calculated by using the Prony parameters obtained from the standard linear solid model and the generalized Maxwell model.The effect of the belt speed,thickness of the cover layer,load and radius of the roller on the indentation rolling resistance coefficient of the belt conveyor are studied with the standard linear solid model and the Maxwell model respectively.The curves of resistance coefficient with the parameters of belt conveyor are drawn.The indentation rolling resistance coefficient was calculated by using Jonker model and QC-N model.The indentation rolling resistance coefficient of each model was studied with the change of belt speed,load,roller radius and the thickness of cover layer,.Indentation rolling resistance coefficients obtained by various methods are compared and analyzed,and the advantages and disadvantages of each method are compared.Taking the three rollers as an example,this paper introduces the distribution of the load of the belt conveyor,according to the actual conveyor system parameters,calculate the total indentation rolling resistance along the width direction of the conveyor belt with different calculation method.
