Research On Landscape Planning Of Riverfront Small Towns

This paper takes the landscape planning of small towns as the object,and takes the riverfront towns as the entry point,and conducts the research by means of literature collection,on-site exploration and subject-crossing research.The details are as follows:(1)Firstly,the background of the researching is discussed,including the problems of landscape being similar,ecological destruction,cultural loss,and the requirements of related domestic policy in the landscape planning of small towns.The domestic and international research on the landscape of small towns is analyzed.A research framework of “background—theory—practice—conclusion” was formulated.(2)Explain the concepts related to the landscape of riverfront towns,and elaborate on the theories of human settlements,the image of city and small town planning.Study related cases in China and abroad,summarize the planning methods and concepts,and put forward the landscape planning process of “pattern construction—factor control—key design” in landscape planning of riverside small towns.(3)Taking the small towns in Longxi Township as an example,practice the previous research results was demonstrated.Investigate the comprehensive overview and landscape resources of Longxi Township,analyze the status quo of the site and summarize the characteristics of the landscape in Longxi Township,including good landscape pattern and superior natural ecological conditions,traditional architecture with regional characteristics and traditional art such as murals,wood carvings and brick carvings,clan culture,harmonious culture and farming culture conmbined into a folk custom.(4)Exploring the specific strategies for the landscape planning of small towns in Longxi Township according to the established landscape planning process.The overall structure of “one ring,two axes and four zones” was determined,and the five landscape features such as architectural style,public space,road landscape,green landscape and environmental facilities were proposed to upgrade the overall landscape.Specific design strategies of riverfront area and entrance park,as well as the special areas in the town,are proposed.(5)Finally,summarize the researching content and reflect on the shortcomings in the research process.
