With the accelerating pace of smart grid construction,intelligent transformation of traditional substations is a fast and feasible option.The relay protection transformation of traditional substations is the most critical and complex part of the whole substation transformation.It is of great significance for the steady development of the smart grid to study the intelligent transformation scheme of relay protection and to determine a more scientific and more reasonable scheme.This paper studies the determination of relay protection transformation plan in Guangming substation.Based on the structure and function characteristics of smart substation,this paper analyzes the needs of relay protection transformation in traditional substations.A modified evaluation model based on improved approximation ideal point method(TOPSIS)is proposed.This model combines the transformation needs and related factors,and designs the corresponding evaluation index system.The weights of each index are combined by subjective weight and objective weight.The proportion of subjective and objective weight is determined by Kendall coefficient.The whole algorithm flow of the reform scheme based on the improved TOPSIS method is put forward,which makes the calculation of weight calculation,ideal point and relative closeness calculation have a more scientific and reasonable process.The 3 options for the relay protection transformation of Guangming substation are explained.Aiming at the 3 transformation schemes of Guangming substation,the improved TOPSIS method is adopted to evaluate the optimal scheme.The content of the transformation of the best scheme is explained,and the benefit after transformation is analyzed.The evaluation method based on the improved approximation ideal point method proposed in this paper can effectively comprehensively consider all the related factors that have influence on the decision of the scheme,and provide a scientific and effective method for the determination of the scheme.
