As an important part of enterprise operation management,supply chain management plays a crucial role.As a key point of supply chain management,we should be the most frequently contacted material purchasing management.Material purchasing management effectively,can connect raw materials,semi-finished products and finished products,become a bridge of them,and help to establish good relations of cooperation between enterprises and suppliers,reduce the cost of the enterprise and inventory,quick response to customer demand,finally can guarantee the effectiveness of the whole supply chain.This dissertation analyzes the status quo of materials purchasing management for R company,a shipbuilding enterprise,and finds some problems of the purchasing organization,purchasing process and method in R company.By means of some modern management methods,such as business process reengineering,material purchasing management segmentation and strategic procurement management,the material purchasing management and supplier management of R company are optimized.First of all,the materials procurement business process of R company is set up by means of reducing the impact process links to avoid redundant communication and coordination as well as improve the operation efficiency of management level.Second,the different methods of procurement management are taken for different materials according to the importance of formulating specific material purchasing plan,and purchasing management for some important materials is optimized.Then,through the establishing of evaluation system for R company's existing materials suppliers,the list of key suppliers is found out,and the strategic cooperative relations for materials supply with them are established through negotiations.In addition,regular assessment for other suppliers is also carried out to update the list of qualified suppliers,so that the supplier management of R company has been improved.Some of the research results of this dissertation have been applied to the material purchasing management of R company and have achieved remarkable effects.The results can also be used to improve the supply chain management of other ship manufacturers.
