Trackball is a kind of cursor control devices.Due to its precise control and low requirements of space,trackball is usually used in the operations of aircraft,ships and submarines.At present,the interface controlled by trackball lacks optimization,especially in military and civil aviation application scenarios which need fast and accurate response and execution operations.Therefore,it is necessary to redesign the interface for trackball to gain a better user experience.Emotional experience is a part of user experience and it is the ultimate manifestation.With the continuous development of digital interface,the functions have been improved,but the homogeneity has become obvious.To make interfaces compelling,it is necessary to pay attention to the emotional experience of interfaces.The measurement methods of emotional experience are mainly divided into subjective measurement methods and objective measurement methods.Subjective questionnaire are currently the main measurement methods.However,the subjective measurement method lacks the ability of real-time measurement and objectivity,while the objective measurement methods cannot clearly express the relationship between indicators and emotional experience.Therefore,it is necessary to integrate multiple measurement methods to overcome the limitations of a single method,and come up with a more effective evaluation system for the emotional experience.This paper studies the trackball interaction characteristics,interface optimization theory and emotional experience measurement method,and optimizes the existing trackball-controlled interface to optimize it for trackball,thereby improving the user's emotional experience.On this basis,the three evaluation indicators system of subjectivity,behavior,and physiology were merged to propose an emotional experience measurement method for multi-index systems.A comparative test evaluation between the original interface and the optimized interface was performed to verify the optimization effect.To explore the intrinsic mechanism of emotional experience,the correlations between the three index systems are analyzed.This article specifically studies in the following aspects: First,the interactive characteristics oftrackball are described.Through comparison with other cursor input devices,the application of the trackball and its limitations are clarified,which provides the theoretical basis for interface optimization for trackball.Second,with the use of user experience element theory and trackball interaction characteristics,author redesign the existing interface controlled by trackball,make it more suitable for trackball operation,thereby enhancing the user's emotional experience.Third,author proposed a new e research method for interface emotional experience,integrating multiple index systems.Then author used AXURE RP7 to make two interface prototypes and design a typical experimental tasks.Using subjective emotion scales and eye trackers,physiological recorders and D-LAB software,author collect and analyze the experimental data of emotional experience,presenting the main indicators of differences in emotional experience on different interfaces.On this basis,the correlation of different finger sentiment criteria systems are analyzed to explore the mechanism of emotional experience.
