With the development of science and technology and the impact of the green economy and environmental protection,the state and society require power grid companies to further improve operational efficiency,power supply quality,power supply reliability,and service quality,and to facilitate the development of state grid in the direction of intelligence.The smart meter is a terminal device of smart grid and is an important device for data acquisition such as voltage and current,it establishes a communication bridge between the power sector and users.The research significance and background of the smart meter is introduced in this paper,through the literature reading gives the current international and domestic research status of the smart meter.According to the needs of the power grid,define the requirements and functions of the smart meter.This paper also introduces the measurement principle of the basic power parameters and the calculation method of the power quality parameters,providing a theoretical basis for the design of the smart meter.The overall design of the smart meter is determined,the MSP430 is used as a processor,and the ATT7022 B is used as a measurement chip.Detailed hardware and software design of the smart meter is performed,and finally an experiment platform is set up.Using the three-phase standard source generator and the PM3000 A power analyzer,the smart meter is subjected to voltage,current,power,energy,voltage deviation,voltage fluctuation,and voltage.The experimental results have shown that the new smart meter studied in this paper can not only measure the basic power parameters,but also calculate and display the power quality parameters.The functions and measurement accuracy meet the design requirements.
