The acceleration of the motorization process in the city and the further expansion of the city have caused great changes of the regular bus service and residents' travel demand.The uneven distribution of passenger flow in time,site,and direction has caused the problem between capacity and frequency.Studying combination scheduling method of regular bus and implementing a strategy that mainly served by regular stop bus service and cooperated by limited-stop bus service is of great significance in enhancing the attractiveness of public transportation and promoting the convergence of multiple modes of transportation.The paper analyzes the data of bus travel in Suzhou and discusses the composition,characteristics and time and space distribution characteristics of urban public traffic.Studying the trips characteristics of urban public transport passengers with three indicators: the structure of public transport trips,the purpose of travel,and the time consumption of trips.The mechanism of the formation of passenger flow characteristics was explored.In terms of time and space distribution characteristics,the time distribution including seasonal distribution,weekly distribution,and daily distribution characteristics was analyzed.Space distribution characteristics includes direction distribution,section distribution,and site distribution.Combining with the form of regular bus combination scheduling,the implementation conditions of combined scheduling method of limited-stop bus service and regular route bus service are proposed from three aspects: line conditions,passenger flow conditions and road environmental conditions.At the line level,comparing the operation modes of conventional bus lines with different grades,the line level and length condition constraints imposed by combined scheduling are proposed;at the passenger flow level,the restrictions on the total flow of passenger flow requirements and the requirements for passengers at the site are analyzed;the road environment level is implemented from the combined dispatching The road rating,special track settings based on road saturation and number of road lanes,and bus signal priority strategies were studied.The operating parameters such as the direction and the stop sites of the limited-stop bus service are analyzed.The limitation conditions of stop numbers of limited-stop bus service and the basis and steps of stops selection are proposed.Bus operations should take into account both the social benefits of passenger and the economic benefits of bus operating costs in the aspect of system cost optimization of combination scheduling.Vehicle load rate,passengers' waiting time at the platform,bus frequency,and number of stops of the limited-stop bus service are considered.The goal is to minimize the total cost of the bus system,including passenger waiting time costs,in-vehicle travel costs,and bus operating costs.A combined scheduling model for the limited-stop bus service and regular route bus service is established.Solving algorithm is proposed and the parameters are analyzed.Taking the 502 bus line of Suzhou for example and establishing a combined scheduling model of limited-stop bus service and regular route bus service of 502.Comparing and analyzing single scheduling model and combined scheduling optimization model.The optimization plan of bus frequency and stops is put forward and model sensitivity are analyzed from the aspects of bus load rate and passenger demand.
