As the problem of traffic congestion is more and more serious. Public transit, with the characteristics of low energy consumption and high efficiency, is gradually recognized by people. Under this condition, public transit enters into network operation stage. Meanwhile, multiple routes bus stop increases quite a lot. So it led to buses line up in bus stop for a long time, passengers walking disorderly and so on. Addressing above problems, the dissertation studies mechanisms between berths spacing, routes organization and bus stop capacity, level of service. The paper first analyzes characteristics of multiple routes stop to explore related inspirations for design and organization. Wishing it can make preparation for the coming studies. Then the paper deduces berths spacing calculation formulas and gives related numeric area from the standpoint of multiple routes bus stop classification. And then in the view of capacity optimization, the scope of this method is also analyzed in detail. Moreover, the paper compares advantages and disadvantages of three common stop organizations, and analyzes capacity of different route layout patterns by establishing Monte Carlo and Vissim simulation model; At last, the paper also analyzes relationships between above issues and level of service by establishing evaluation methods, and put forward optimization measures related to some berth space and gives routes organization principles, also takes Dongzhimenbei stops of the second ring road in Beijing as example to verify above organization principles.
