The growing demands can't be satisfied with the dedicated hardware devices with dedicated software in most of current avionics signal incentive system, which causes low reusability, low extensibility and the problem that the corresponding signal exciters need to be developed separately for different avionics components. Therefore,it is necessary to develop an open and universial signal exciter for avionics system. The universal avioncis signal incentive system, developed by this paper, has some outstanding characterics, decribed as follows.Firstly, open system architecture and plug-in technology are adopted, which both depart the main function from the main program, and improve the openness. Then,an open, scalable chassis and independent board are used to ensure the replacement of hardware. Finally,Plugins are research and designed,on the basis of user defined feature, summarzing and unifying parameters of all signals, which make the universality and secondary development come true.A detailed requirement analysis and layered open architecture are studied by this paper based on the composition of the system firstly. And then, the design devided the system into basic platform and plugs modules, basing on plugin technology is implemented, which improves openness and universality.T For the characteristics of various types of excitation signals and multiple hardware channel pins,a plug-in template design method based on user-defined features is proposed, making the system universal. Finally, the function and performance of the incentive system are tested and verified. The results show that the system achieves the demand of openness and universality.
