The Utilization Of The New Museology Theory On The Conservation And Regeneration Of Historic District

Along with the development of urbanization,the historic district in the city have suffered varying impact.After the explortation and practice on the preservation and regeneration of the historic district have experienced a lot during the past centuries,it has gradually caught into the deadlock of the predicament in development,waiting to seek the breakthrough both on theory and practice as well as new ideas to break through the bottleneck of collision.The paper studies the history of the preservation and regeneration on the historic district combined with the New Museology theory,tries to explore the possibility of the utilization of New Museology theory on the preservation and regeneration of the historic district,and to explore the application of theory on the practice,try to build the Tanhualin historic and cultural district into the new museum guided by the new museology theory.The main contents of this paper are as following:First of all,the paper reviews the history of the preservation and regeneration of the historic district,and studies the relevant theories at home and abroad,and summarizes the relevant domestic and foreign practice patterns.Secondly,the paper summarizes the development and advancement of the New Museology theory.The paper studies a series of theories and practices of the New Museology,and analyzes the background,definition,development and the changes of social functions of the Ecomuseum and Community museum.Later,the paper analyzes the discipline blending of the New Museology theory and Urban Planning,searching for the practical cases of the application of the New Museology theory on the preservation and regeneration of historic district.The papaer takes the Wuxi ancient canal historic district eco-museum and the LiHuangpi Road Street museum in Wuhan City the typical exmples.Also,the paper studies the practices of the New Museology theory in Taiwan,combined with the writer`s own actual visit,,and analyzes the case of Tamsui Historical Park Area Community Museum.After that,the paper discusses the feasibility of the New Museology theory and the preservation and regeneration of historic district.Finally,through theoretical research and empirical analysis of the above,the paper tries to apply the New Museolog theory on the preservation and regeneration of Tanhualin historic and cultural district,and proposes direction of development.
