Study On Cultural And Creative Products Design Application Based On 3D Print Technology

As a form of Additive Manufacturing(AM),3D Printing has features such as rapid prototyping,high complexity,free of welding points or models,which traditional manufacturing does not have.Fundamentally all kinds of AM are working layer-by-layer and could be called as 3D Printing.It's impossible to replace traditional manufacturing with 3D Printing at present time,instead,3D Printing can help improving traditional manufacturing with its shorts,such the lack of innovation and weak connection with information technology.It will deeply transform products designing,especially which in Culture Creative Industry(CCI),in different ways such as design process,ideas,required knowledge and the position of designers to bring a all-new development.3D Printing avoids low-effect communication and useless processes,make designers free of discussing around the feasibility with construction engineers,helps them to mostly make ideas come true without compromising on craft or material or concerning about the expense of re-designing and model.On the other hand,designers' position changed too.Firstly a designer should have a well knowledge about market,production,servicing,they also have to expand their knowledge of designing itself,especially those intercross subjects.The designing of CCI productions needs 3 important elements: culture atmosphere,creative ideas and market needs.Considering the designing mode and culture within,the value of CCI productions had the features of sharing,improving when using,focus on intellectual property protection(IPR)and can hardly be quantized.This article analyses the advantages of 3D Printing on designing of CCI productions form three aspects: 1.concept and history of 3D Printing.2.traditional design mode and the change 3D Printing will made.3.Trend and features of CCI productions design.The passage take a memorial cup for WuHan Open for example,to explain how 3D Printing help in really designing.At last the passage concludes that 3D Printing has superiorities in the field of CCI productions design;could make models with high precision and complex construction;cost saving;optimization design;easy to combine with traditional manufacturing ways.
