With the quickening pace of national modernization,the structure of urban commuting system has become increasingly complex,and the commuting problem has become more prominent day by day.Optimizing public traffic system can be an effective method to relieve the urban commuting problem,however current optimization measures' effect are not obvious.To this point,the paper decided to conduct a study on characteristics of urban residents' commuting activity and commuting tool choosing behavior,and then on these bases,the relationship between raising the public traffic commuting sharing rate and the operating parameters of Tianjin's public traffic system will be discussed.First,the system concept of commuting activity was defined,the characteristics of commuting activity,the properties of main commuting modes and the influence factors of commuting tool choosing behavior were summarized in this paper.Then the theory of disaggregate model was illustrated and the applicative ideas of the theory in the research of commuting sharing rate were decided based on the model characteristics and the research objective.The investigation plan of Tianjin residents' commuting activities was designed and the characteristics of Tianjin residents' commuting activities were analyzed on the level of statistical data.Then the paper established the commuting tool choosing model,which is based on the nested logit model,and the processes of selecting model variables and estimating unknown parameters were completed.By aggregating the model result,the relation expression between commuting sharing rate of Tianjin's main commuting tools and commuter's attributes variables.At last,the paper analyzed the relationship between commuter's commuting attribute variables and main operating parameters of public traffic system,which include ticket price,departure time interval,operational speed,stations' distribution,line planning and space in buses,etc.and established the relation model between them with sharing rate of urban public traffic commuting system.The result concludes main aspects as follows,commuter's behavior of choosing commuting tools can be influenced by multiple factors,among them,commuting time,cost,comfort degree and convenient degree are most important factors;by analyzing the commuting tool choosing model established in the paper,the quantitative analysis result of influence degree of the factors,which have influence on the behavior of choosing commuting tool,can be obtained,and the current commuting structure of Tianjin can be deduced: walking 15.65%,bus 34.21%,metro 11.28%,private car 38.86%;the relationship between sharing rate in urban commuting system and operating parameters of Tianjin's public traffic system was established,which can provide thoughts to city managers on making urban traffic control measures and forecasting the effectiveness of them.
