In the context of the lack of oil resources in the world and the traditional diesel engine cannot be completely replaced in a short period of time,to improve the fuel economy of light vehicles has become one of the main research directions of automobile enterprises.This study developed a data acquisition system about light vehicle fuel economy based on virtual instrument hardware and LabVIEW software platform for the purpose to improve the fuel economy of light vehicle in NEDC circle.The system realizes the acquisition of temperature,pressure,voltage,current,coolant flow rate and CAN bus signal.The system can be applied to different models,through the comparison of different models of the same parameter,looking for differences,and then explore ways to improve the economy.The results of this research are as follows:1.The main fuel consumption test conditions and the corresponding fuel consumption calculation methods in the present world are studied.The structure,function and economic influence factors of the powertrain and electrical system are analyzed theoretically.Based on the theoretical analysis of the structure and the influence factors of the light vehicle parts,the acquisition parameters of the system and the overall scheme of the system are determined.2.Software and hardware development of data acquisition system which based on development requirements are completed.The CRIO controller is the hardware core of the data acquisition system.Through the FPGA chip embedded in the controller and the real time control system,which is combined with the acquisition module,realized the high speed data acquisition.Complete the sensor selection which depends on the I/O characteristics of the acquisition module.According to the structural characteristics of the vehicle components and the position of the original vehicle sensor,the sensor is arranged on the whole vehicle and the method of breaking the CAN signal is completed.After the sensor is installed,the vehicle can work normally.Based on the LabVIEW programming environment,the data acquisition system is designed to realize the data acquisition,monitoring,storage and other functions.3.The system is applied to two light vehicles with similar performance parameters,and the influence of fuel consumption is discussed through the comparison of the quality and the parameters performance in NEDC circle.The influence of coolant temperature and inlet pressure on fuel consumption was studied by using five motor tests bench and control variable method,and put the improvement suggestions.By using the curve fitting function of MATLAB,the relationship between coolant temperature and fuel consumption is obtained.4.The system has been applied to the development of the gear shift strategy test,and the test results further verify the accuracy and effectiveness of the acquisition system.
