Research On The Protection And Development Strategy Of Industrial Heritage City Jiaozuo

The transformation and development of industrial cities is a common problem in today's world.Jiaozuo is a city built on the development of coal resources.Its industry,especially the coal industry,has had an important impact on the development of the city.In the 1970 s,with the depletion of coal resources,the industrial development in Jiaozuo City fell sharply,triggering a series of serious economic,social and environmental problems.Due to the industrial recession,many companies that have ceased operations or closed down in succession in the city,including some mining areas,factories,ancillary facilities and the material environment of buildings.All of these constitute a new type of urban historical and cultural resources that we call industrial heritage today.In the process of urban transformation and development,if these resources are neglected and abandoned,the modernization of the city will lose its cultural foundation and become a pile of concrete forest without historical basis.More than 800 years ago,Lu Jiuyuan of the Southern Song Dynasty pointed out that “Nowdays one has nothing to do all day,just as trees without root,and water without source.”(Song Lu Jiuyuan ?A letter to Zeng Zhai?).As China moves toward a new era,the transformation and renewal of industrial cities should adhere to the development guideline of “cultural self-confidence.” It is necessary to scientifically analyze and rationalize various industrial heritages in cities to provide a historical basis and consolidate the cultural foundation for sustainable urban transformation.There are 262 resource-based cities in China,of which more than a quarter of the cities have entered the stage of resource depletion and urban transformation.In the future,more cities will join this ranks.Although the theoretical research and practical exploration of China's resource-based cities' transformation have achieved certain achievements,many problems in the process of urban development are still significant,such as the protection and reuse of industrial heritage,severe environmental pollution,and high unemployment rates.Research on such cities has important theoretical and practical significance for the development of similar cities.On the basis of actual research,this paper comprehensively uses multidisciplinary knowledge of urban and rural planning,history,economics,geography,and tourism to analyze the relationship between urban development and industrial development in the city of Jiaozuo.From the perspective of the protection and reuse of urban industrial heritage,strategies for the transformation and development of Jiaozuo City were proposed and attempts were made in space implemention.The study of this paper is divided into four parts.In the first part,starting from the research status of industrial heritage cities,combs the domestic and foreign research on the industrial heritage cities and urban transition development,and analyzes the current situation of Jiaozuo from the national level.In the second part,the history of the development of the city of Jiaozuo and the evolution of its spatial form were studied.The urban space in Jiaozuo has undergone three phases: centralized,decentralized grouping,and dual-core centripetal.In the process of urban development,the development of the industrial industry has a close relationship with the spatial layout of the city.In the early stage of urban development,the coal resources industry has had a profound impact on the spatial layout of the city.The third part analyzes the current status,classification and value of industrial cultural heritage in Jiaozuo City.Based on this,it proposes strategies for the protection of industrial heritage in Jiaozuo City from the perspectives of the area,city,and region.And combining the experience of domestic and foreign industrial heritage renovations,the strategy for reuse of industrial heritage in Jiaozuo City was proposed.The forth part,based on the perspective of urban industrial heritage conservation and reuse,the four strategies for the transformation and development of Jiaozuo City are proposed,namely,regional coordination strategy,urban space development strategy,industrial construction strategy and ecological environmental protection strategy.
