The traditional UV-VIS spectrometer has many disadvantages including complicated structure,large volume,long-time spectrum scanning,not realizing multi-wavelength detection at the same time,and not in-field operation.In this paper,a new method is proposed to design a new UV-VIS spectrometer while providing resolutions to avoid the disadvantages mentioned above.There are six parts introduced in this paper.Structure,theory,advantages and disadvantages of the traditional UV-VIS spectrometer are introduced.The developmenttrend of spectrometer in the future is described.By comparison and analysis between the multi-channel spectrum measurement system with multi-channel detection device and the single-channel spectrum measurement system with photomultiplier tube,it concludes that the multi-channel spectrum measurement system has the advantages including simpler optical system structure,higher sensitivity,better signal-noise ratio and rapid measurement of full-band and so on.The miniaturization of the dispersion system is studied,a small-size dispersive system based on flat-field concave holographic grating and multi-channel detector is designed whose volume is only 120×110×70mm~3.In the hardwaredesign,the multi-channel detection device S3904-1024Q is selected as photoelectric conversion device.A high integration driving and data acquisition circuit for S3904-1024Q is designed based on the C8051F020.The driving pulse of the driving system is generated by the P1 port of the microcontroller.The integration circuit based on the LF356 and MAX4501 is designed convert the output charge signal of the multi-channel detection device to voltage signal who is amplified by a no-inverse amplification circuit.The signal is sent the input pin of external high-speed ADC chip AD7492.And the conversion of analog-to-digital is completed.The conversion result is stored in an external FLASH Chip AT29LV512 first and then is transmitted to the host computer through the RS232 serial port of the single chip C8051F020.In the design of software,C language program forC8051F020 is written first.Secondly,the software of the upper computerbased on LabVIEW is written,which has functions of serial communication,data acquisition and processing,data display and so on.The wavelength calibration of multi-channel spectrum measurement system is studied in this paper.And its toleranceis 1nm according to the linear interpolation algorithm.At last,this spectrometer is tested,the results show that it meets the design requirements on the spectral bandwidth measurement,transmission accuracy and so on.
