A Preliminary Study On The Construction Industry Of Nanjing During The Period Of The Republic Of China

Building construction is the end of building activities,and construction industry is also an important part of the building industry.As an important participant in urban development and building activities in Nanjing during the period of the Republic of China,the construction industry in Nanjing witnessed the process of modern transformation of Chinese architecture and played an important role in the collision of Chinese and Western cultures.Based on historical materials,the paper systematically combed the basic information and development of Nanjing construction industry and representative construction plant during the period of the Republic of China.This paper makes a preliminary study on the growth background,industry status and operating mechanism of Nanjing construction industry,and attempts to make a preliminary discussion on the two aspects of the technological system and enterprise system in the construction industry from the traditional to the modern transformation process.On this basis,the thesis finally summarizes the characteristics,the problems and the value of the construction industry in Nanjing during the period of the Republic of China,and puts forward some suggestions for the follow-up research.
