Research On Industrial Design Competition Based On The Innovation System

The author has participated in both international and domestic high-end designing competitions over 110 times during the period from undergraduate to post-graduate,while winning 70 awards including the Red Dot Award and the IF Design Award in Germany,the IDEA Design Award in the US and the Red Star Award in China.Interests in researching the industrial designing competitions has gradually formed during this very process,which has not been given much attention yet by the public but still marks its significance in the formation of the national innovative system.With the advent of the information and globalization era,different kinds of design methods have been constantly updated,and the latest design information is being rapidly shared through reports,exhibitions,and other means,which allows us to immediately learn the latest design innovation dynamics.The establishment of a national innovation system will improve the broad environment and promote the vigorous development of design activities.According to the available data,there is not much empirical work on design competition.This research will explore the design competition rules and design development trends.For the designers themselves,empirical discussion and summarization will be very helpful for them to achieve self-improvement.At the same time,it is of great significance to explore the connotation value of design competition in design education and innovation system construction.Faced with the new trends and new challenges in the manufacturing industry,such as "German Industry 4.0" and "Made in China 2025",the state urgently needs to improve the innovation system,create more possibilities for the country's next opportunity and reserve adequate soft power for the country's transition.Industrial design competition plays a banner role in the design and manufacturing industry.The research results of industrial design competition will also have a positive effect on the development of the innovation system in contemporary Chinese society.In this research,data and literature on innovation system and industrial design were collected and reviewed,thereby having an in-depth and comprehensive analysis of the characteristics of industrial design competition through practice and reading.Based on extensive practical experience in design competition,combined with the current design competition materials,works and exchange experience with predecessors,the author made a systematic study of the thinking tools for industrial design competition and explored the value connotation of industrial design competition combined with multi-angle composition factors.The innovations and achievements of this paper mainly include: 1.Systematically analyze the constitution system of industrial design competition through actual competition experience and survey analysis.2.Analyze the concrete process,methods and tools of industrial design innovation competition through the exploration of the essence of industrial design competition,explore and summarize the specific methods and steps formed in the process of participating in industrial design competition and industrial design innovation,and demonstrate the concept of "thinking tools" based on the analysis of categories and features of specific design works.3.Promote the development and improvement of the current innovation system through summarizing the conclusions of the research on the value of industrial design competition under the innovation system.The systematic research on industrial design competition is of a certain promotion significance to provide some reference for practical exploration to future students and promote the reform of the design education system and is of a certain reference value to further improve the innovative system basically constructed by the government,enterprises,universities and research institutes.
