Study On The Process Of The Pearl River Waterfront Community Characteristics And Environmental Behavior Of City

Waterfront space formed on both sides of the main creek in traditional Lingnan villages contacts important commercial street,ancestral hall and temples,and residential space.The close connection between man and water has been diminished due to the industrialization and commercialization of water village industrial structure change,the spread of buildings in village settlements and farming model based on "Mulberry-Dike-Fish-Pond" model.Under the circumstance of the synchronization of river chief system and lake chief system,Lingnan water villages’ creek environment has been repaired and protected.In the increasingly crowded modern community environment,as the most open and continuous public space,waterfront space is not only acted as the transportation system of urban streets,but also the recreational and productive life of tourists and residents.This paper researches waterfront space of Lingtou Community formed of Lingtou North River and Lingtou South River by using a variety of research methods,such as literature research,field visit,questionnaire survey,comprehensive analysis,etc.Also,the main landscape elements of the waterfront have been summed up.Combined with environmental behavior theory and research method,this paper researches and analysis each river section of Lingtou Community based on the three elements of Environmental behaviourology: crowd,environment and behavior.Water is the core of the culture of water village.The land surrounded by the waterway first developed into a settlement because of its advantages such as the fertility of the soil,the convenience of traffic and defensiveness.However,due to the long time,some areas have been declining.After the renovation of the village environment upgrading project,the environmental comfort has improved,but its own characteristic industry and public influence has not been built.Also,the land is lack of public influence,and did not achievethe purpose of reviving the river.Because of the development of urbanization in rural areas,the new-bulidt house has reshaped its outer space.Unplanned housing construction and diversified styles of houses have seriously affected its overall style.Vehicles have the absolute right of sayingIt is found that the population of community waterfront is dominated by middle-aged and elderly people,and the trend of aging is obvious.There is an uneven distribution of space in the distribution and service of the environmental elements in the waterfront space.There is an obvious fault in the connectivity and landscape integrity between each river sections.The higher the degree of modernization of the site,the worse the interaction between water and human.The use rate of traditional cultural architecture in Lingnan villages,such as ancestral hall and temples,has been reduced among young people.The traditional Lingnan culture and the sustainable development of folk customs need to be strengthened.This paper,based on the basic laws of the large background of urbanization and the behavior of the crowd,discusses the problems found and gives constructive suggestions.Driving on the mixed roads of people and cars reduces the safety of the active population(especially children).Such problems as chaos and parking also impede traffic continuity and environmental beauty.
