The city is the product of the development of civilization to a certain stage.The ancient city condensed the political,economic,cultural,and living standards of the time to a certain extent,which is of great significance for us to understand ancient culture.The West Han Dynasty was a crucial period for the formation and establishment of a unified multi-ethnic country in China,and it had a profound impact on later generations.This paper compares Chang'an city,the capital of the West Han Dynasty and Han city of Cheng village in the same era.After comparing the similarities and differences between the natural and human environment and the location planning of the two,it is found that Chang'an City is built around the wall and built into Guocheng.The Han city is adapted to local conditions,making full use of the risk of mountain and streams.The architectural styles,construction techniques,building materials and the handicraft workshops discovered in the two cities,the production and daily necessities,weapons and other unearthed materials were compared and found than the culture of Min Yue has been deeply influenced by the culture of Han,has studied the advanced system of senior officials in the Central Plains and also learned the advanced production techniques,but at the same time retained a strong characteristics of the building in terms of housing structure,defense system,architectural style and daily necessities.Historical records and archaeological clues tell us that in the process of formation,the culture of Min Yue area has been constantly colliding with other regions,and it has gradually been influenced by the Han culture.After the twists and turns,it has finally been integrated into the Chinese culture.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,the full text is divided into four chapters.The first chapter mainly introduces the general situation of Han City including its natural and cultural environment and archaeological excavations.The second chapter mainly introduces the general situation of Chang'an City in the West Han Dynasty,including the natural environment and historical evolution,archaeological excavation and urban layout planning.The third chapter compares Han City and Chang'an City from the aspects of urban site selection planning,layout structure,building technology and style.The fourth chapter returns to the differences and communication between Han culture and Min Yue culture.It is found that the culture of Min Yue constantly collide and communicate with other regional cultures,retaining their own styles and gradually influenced by Han culture deeply,finally become mature.
