With the pursuit and improvement of people’s quality of life,the demand for placing emotion on real objects is increasing.In a few short years,the souvenir market has gradually expanded,and a wide variety of commodities have appeared in people’s sight.College souvenirs are also one of them.College souvenirs have been an indispensable means of propaganda in an excellent school.College souvenirs record the history,culture,thoughts,customs,emotions and other aspects of the school and even this region,which helps the school to create a high-quality campus image and establish a good word-of-mouth.The souvenir design of colleges and universities based on regional culture can not only increase the uniqueness of the design,but also improve the quality of the design.The excellent regional culture is also a kind of publicity and reproduction,so the design adds more local cultural elements,through the regional culture to show the diversity of university souvenirs,to add to the university brand.This topic mainly aims at the regional culture angle of view the university souvenir design planning and the promotion and so on the question carries on the analysis and the research,carries on the analysis to the regional culture and the university souvenir related element,summarizes on the basis of the domestic and foreign market presentsituation,Based on the common demands of consumers,this paper explores the strategies,principles and methods of regional culture applied to the design of souvenir in colleges and universities.Guided by the relevant theories of design and planning of university souvenirs from the perspective of regional culture,this paper focuses on the blank market of university souvenirs of Hunan University of Technology and highlights the regional cultural characteristics of Huxiang and Hunan University of Technology.For Hunan University of Technology tailor-made a basic feasible series of planning schemes,one for the subject study to provide case support,second,to test the feasibility of theoretical research results.Based on this,the author draws the conclusion that the construction and investment of university souvenir and souvenir store is imperative at this stage,in order to build and perfect the theoretical system of university souvenir design,and to play a role in the domestic souvenir market of colleges and universities.It can promote the development of souvenir research in colleges and universities,and help to deepen the theory of souvenir design and planning.
