| With the improvement of the living standards in China,people have more diverse spiritual and cultural needs,which make tourism a more popular leisure activity.Tourist souvenirs are representative features for tourist destinations,which have irreplaceable significance for spreading local regional culture.Qinhuangdao,as a well-known tourist city in northern China,has unique regional culture and a rich variety of tourist souvenirs.However,the research shows that most of these products are homogenized,weak in practicality and lack of cultural connotations.How to develop high-quality tourism souvenirs for Qinhuangdao has become a problem that needs to be considered and solved.This paper conducts a comprehensive and detailed investigation and sorts out the cultural symbols of the Qinhuangdao region,selects symbol elements with typical characteristics of the Qinhuangdao region,analyses of the problems and shortcomings in the Qinhuangdao tourism souvenir market,and explores the transformation methods and design principles of regional cultural symbols into tourism souvenirs.The relevant knowledge and principles of design semiotics are organically combined with the symbolic attributes of tourist souvenirs,and the formal rules of shape shaping are organically combined with the functions,materials,structures,colors,techniques and methods of products,injected into the connotation of Qinhuangdao cultural symbols,and the cultural,practical,epochal and sustainable nature of products are systematically reflected in the design process of products.The paper shows how to develop tourism souvenirs with multiple cultural connotations that adapt to the context of the new era,and enhance the added value of the products.To meet people’s diverse cultural needs in terms of functionality,this paper also serves the purpose of promoting and inheriting regional culture,providing new methods and ideas for the development and design of Qinhuangdao tourism souvenirs. |
