The important information of hardware and alarm in the engine room can be seen from the monitoring and alarm system and the web server of large ships, but shore-based personnel cannot view the information and solve the related faults of engine room immediately and effectively. In recent years, emerging technologies represented by Internet informatization, satellite communication, cloud computing technology, big data analysis and artificial intelligence are in a period of rapid development, and it is possible to realize intelligent unmanned ships. In order to realize the intelligent unmanned ship,it is necessary to realize the real unmanned engine room, get rid of the existing human intervention in the engine room, extend the engine room's monitoring and alarm system to the shore-based,and realize the integration of ship and shore. At present the domestic ships rarely combine the monitoring alarm system of engine room with "cloud" architecture of system and the system is relatively incomplete. But adding the cloud computing technology into the monitoring alarm system of engine room, the relevant information in system can be deposited in the "cloud" architecture server and make full use of resources in the monitoring alarm system, providing it with more powerful functions and realizing the true sense of unmanned engine room.Meanwhile, the public service platform of engine room monitoring and alarm system based on "cloud" architecture realizes a high degree of resource sharing.Based on the above background, this paper develops a set of "cloud" architecture engine room monitoring and alarm system integrating computer technology, satellite communication technology, cloud computing technology and other technologies, which will provide an effective solution for the development of smart ships. In this paper, the existing maritime satellite communication system or the data communication mode of the Tiantong no.1 satellite mobile communication system is selected to design the shipboard Web server and the data transmission of the shore-based "cloud" architecture server, then the data communication system is also tested. The designed "cloud" architecture server and MySQL database are selected as data storage, and load balancing technology is used to realize the collaborative work of multiple servers under the "cloud" architecture.According to the analysis of users' needs, various service functions realized by the visualization platform are determined, including real-time ship positioning and ship trajectory playback, data monitoring and alarm of important equipment in engine room and ship's basicinformation view.Combined with IaaS,PaaS and SaaS services in the "cloud" architecture,Java language is adopted for development, and Ajax technology, gaud map display technology and object-oriented technology are used to develop the visual public service platform. Each function module in the platform is encapsulated and then deployed to the "cloud" architecture server,so as to realize the functional application of the visual platform of engine room monitoring and alarm system based on the "cloud" architecture. The visual platform of engine room monitoring and alarm system based on "cloud" architecture is developed in this paper. This system adopts B/S architecture, which can not only provide a variety of service functions, but also the users can make use of computer web pages or convenient mobile web pages to view these important data at any time.Building a shared and intelligent engine room monitoring and alarm system based on the idea of "cloud" architecture can make full use of and enjoy shore-based resources and enhance the ability of shore-based and ship-end information interaction. It is of pioneering significance for engine room monitoring and alarm system limited to ships.
