Since 2010,Geely has made rapid overseas investment and expansion.Acquisition and merger of Volvo,Proton and Daimler…Geely’s global expansion is often talked about inside and outside the industry.This paper studies the risk management countermeasures of Geely’s overseas investment,deeply analyzes its experience and lessons,and forms the countermeasures and suggestions for Chinese manufacturing to go global.On the basis of summarizing previous research results,this paper takes Geely’s overseas investment expansion as an example to study the expansion and merger of Chinese enterprises’ overseas investment.The study found that Geely’s overseas investment expansion aims to accelerate the pace of enterprise transformation,capture the international automobile market share,enhance the international competitiveness and brand awareness,and further expand the overseas market.Geely has made overseas investments and acquisitions in recent years.After the implementation of the merger and acquisition,a series of integration work,including the culture,system,management incentive,business model,business and finance of the acquired company,will be carried out to maximize the benefits of the merger and acquisition to the company.Better enable the acquired company to have a good market share and popularity in the Chinese market.How Geely carries out risk management before the merger and acquisition,how it carries out risk management during the merger and acquisition,and how it carries out risk management after the merger and acquisition to help Chinese overseas investment enterprises build a risk prevention system when they make overseas investments.
