A Research On The Application Of Aviation Hub Network Strategy Of Xiamen Airlines

Since the reform and opening up,China's civil aviation has achieved rapid development,while forming a fierce competitive situation,the development of airlines is facing severe challenges.How to survive in the competition,development strategy is very important.For large airlines,the strategic development model of hub routes network is a competitive tool for their survival and development.Through the study of Xiamen Airlines hub network strategy,this paper verifies that medium-sized airlines such as Xiamen Airlines can still implement hub strategy in Xiamen Airport,which can be an important supplement to the theoretical research of China's aviation hub strategy.This thesis summarizes and reviews the basic principles of hub airline network theory and the evolution process of route network model,lists several typical development cases of hub airports and network airlines,and sums up the general factors and laws for the success of hub construction.Using hub network theory to build Xiamen Airport as a regional hub in Southeast China and Xiamen Airlines as a hub network airline are the concrete practice of Xiamen Airlines hub network strategy.This paper uses SWOT analysis tools to analyze the strategic background of Xiamen Airlines hub,and proposes to adopt strategies conducive to Xiamen Airlines hub construction,build a hub airlines network adapted to the characteristics of Xiamen Airport,and build a hub control system adapted to the operation characteristics of Xiamen Airlines,which is also the innovation of this paper.According to the research,airlines are the leading force in building airports into hub airports,and second-line airports can also implement hub strategy under certain conditions.The process of Xiamen Airport growing into an important regional hub in Southeast China is the process of Xiamen Airlines Hub strategy establishment and implementation.Secondly,the hub strategy of airlines must be strongly supported by the government and airports.Loose time resources are indispensable for airlines to build hubs.The airport provides convenient transit routes,and the support of customs,border defense,security inspection and other units for transit guarantee are all necessary conditions for the realization of airlines hub strategy.Thirdly,a successful hub needs an efficient hub control system that adapts to the company's operating characteristics.Xiamen Airlines has creatively constructed a hub control system with flight dispatch as the core,and forms a strong support of operation control capability for transit transport.Such a hub control system is in line with the operational status of Xiamen Airlines and the development of civil aviation in China.It is the key to the successful implementation of Xiamen Airlines hub strategy.It is hoped that the implementation process of Xiamen Airlines Hub Strategy can provide some reference for the development of other second-line airports and medium-sized airlines of CAAC.
