A Comparative Study On The Spatial Form Of Traditional Settlements Landscape On The East And West Coasts Of Hainan Island

The unique geographical location and social background of Hainan island have maintained a relatively independent evolution in thousands of years of development,which breeds the human settlement with extremely regional characteristics.As a "living fossil"carrying a large amount of historical original information,traditional settlements of Hainan island have an extensive research space and valuable research value.And Hainan island in the face of the international tourism island construction,beautiful new rural construction and rural revitalization of the era of big background,ushered in the opportunity and challenge,plain pure Hainan island pattern of traditional settlements faced with new development orientation,land planning and resource allocation,so the research for the traditional settlements space form to become the most extraordinary important topic.This paper will be a lot of traditional settlements plane widely set up in Hainan,by plane drawing reproduction,extract relevant elements,from the settlement size,boundary shape,spatial structure and spatial order four aspects the quantitative analysis of its spatial form,and according to the data in the form of space index using the method of clustering analysis for the division of regional types,thus research types under different regions of Hainan island deep fabric characteristics and potential of traditional settlements,and analyze the cause of their differences.The study is divided into three parts:The first part is preliminary basic research.Based on a large number of literature reading and basic data collection,this paper introduces the background,purpose and significance of the research,explains the connotation of "traditional settlements","spatial morphology" and other related concepts,thawed the research scope and research objects,and summarized the research content,research methods and technical routes.The natural environmental conditions and the formation and evolution of traditional settlements in Hainan island are described.The second part is the main part of the research.From traditional settlements,boundary of scale,structure and order level to construct a set of evaluation index system of Hainan island of traditional settlements space form and introduces how to deal with the 87 samples of traditional settlements in Hainan of two-dimensional plane,and using the mathematical method of settlement area,aspect ratio,shape index,fractal dimension index,direction,order quantity,the courtyard area,building density is calculated and expression,and the quantitative analysis of multiple perspectives of Hainan the spatial form of traditional settlements,and on the regional differentiation characteristics are discussed.The third part is the conclusion of the research.Through SPSS clustering analysis based on the second part constructed the settlement space form of quantitative evaluation index system and the data of 87 samples settlements,will eventually regional traditional settlements are divided into five types:Hainan island I Northwest tableland high-density order type,Joan ? The large-scale emigration of Qiongbei and Qiongnan in different historical periods,?Qiong east garden more ribbon,IV South QiongZhong group that are Small-scale agglomerate,V Qiongxi hills courtyard finger type,analysis type under the different regions of Hainan island deep fabric characteristics of traditional settlement and the potential impact mechanism.The study found that the rich topography and special climatic and hydrological conditions in Hainan island are the main reasons for the regional differentiation of the overall scale and boundary morphology of the settlements.Social economy,cultural concept,clan etiquette and security defense consciousness play an important role in the formation of spatial structure and spatial order of settlements in different regions.The coupling of natural environment and historical and cultural conditions jointly contributed to the regional differentiation of spatial forms of traditional settlements in Hainan island.
