With the gradual popularization of automobiles and the enhancement of buyers' awareness of automobile safety,the whole automotive industry attaches great importance to the design of automobile safety.The overall safety of automobiles depends not only on the body and chassis structure of automobiles,but also on the other parts inside them.As one of the key components of automobile,the seat of automobile not only provides comfort for drivers and passengers,but also provides effective safety guarantee in case of accident.Finite element analysis technology has achieved more and more attention in the field of automobile research and development.The use of finite element analysis method can make the rear seats of automobiles meet the safety,economic and lightweight performance required by relevant laws and standards,which can reduce the blindness of research and development design of researchers effectively,then shorten the research and development cycle and reduce the cost of research and design.In this paper,hypermesh,optistruct,Ls-dyna and other finite element software are used to analyze and study the rear seat of the passenger car.The main research contents are as follows:(1)According to the requirements of the national standard GB15083,the static strength of the rear seat assembly,the headrest of the rear seat and the impact of the suitcase are analysed.(2)In view of the damage phenomenon in the lock mechanism of the rear seat headrest simulation analysis,the problem of failure occurred,and an improved solution for increasing the contact surface was proposed for this simulation result.By improving the locking mechanism,the performance of the rear seat Significantly improved,the maximum stress and strain values are significantly reduced,in line with national standards.(3)In the simulation analysis of rear seats collision,the stress concentration phenomenon appeared in the backseat skeleton,the lower link plate and the hinge connection.The backrest of the rear seats moved beyond the reference plane after collision.According to the simulation results,some improvement schemes were proposed,such as increasing the thickness of the bottom cross beam,changing the material of the bottom cross beam,increasing the reinforcement of the hinge connection and slotting the connecting plate.The improved displacement of the seat backrest is significantly reduced,and there is no large deformation after the collision process and the collision result,and the maximum stress and strain value meets the corresponding requirements.The static and dynamic characteristics of the rear seat of the passenger car are simulated and analyzed to check whether the performance of the seat meets the national laws and regulations.The comprehensive performance of the rear seats and the safety of the seats were successfully improved by optimizing the structure of parts which not meet the requirements.It achieves the purpose of optimization,and provides a reference for the theoretical design of the rear seats.
