The object of this paper's study is the low voltage switchgear,which is generally be used in AC400V or AC690V electrical system.The device is widely applicate in different area,such as industry,municipal infrastructure construction(e.g.,building,transportation),nuclear power station etc.With the rapid development of China's economy,the market of low-voltage switchgear is also expanding,and the business scope is gradually diversified.How to promptly respond to user request and provide with high-quality,high-reliability designing and products is a vital problem in this business area.The purpose of this study is trying to find and generate a series of designing method with the function of higher quality,higher reliability,standardization with designing and process control.And the design method of the low-voltage power distribution equipment based on ABB product is proposed here.The purpose of this study is to generate a set of efficient and high-quality product design methods through a series of analysis,calculation and verification methods based on actual customer's^requirement.With support of relevant power system theoretical knowledge and power distribution equipment standards,the following aspects are discussed:1.Customer's requirement collection,recognition,analyzation;2.Load identify and classify based on the electrical characteristics;3.System calculation and product selection&coordination based on the load information;4.System optimization and verification from difcferent aspects,including RDF factor,cable selection and coordination,heat verification,weight calculation.Meanwhile,A series of practical cases be used in the document to help the reader with better understanding.It aims to form or generate a set of designing methodology of low voltage electrical system construction and product selection,and promote the standardization of low voltage switchgear's designing.No doubt that further systematic and software-based on the basis of this theory and practice methods can form a more effective product automatic design software.The new solution or function will promote the product application and automated production better in this business area.And this is also the orientation we need to move forward next step.
