Research On City Heritage Trail Route Planning From The Perspective Of Historic Urban Landscape

At the present stage of historic district and traditional style district have suffered from the urban context breakage,heritage resources fragmentation and the urgency of the street transformation,which are major city issues demanding for solution.This study provides solution for these issues focusing on “City Heritage Trail”,which is a practical way of heritage protection in urban model space.Starting from the view of historical urban landscape(HUL),this study places “route planning”,the first step of city heritage trail construction,as the subject of theory construction and empirical study.Through the review of domestic and international concepts and connotations related to city heritage trail,this paper proposes the theoretical main points fitting Chinese current language context,including the concept,features,composite conditions,and inscape of city heritage trail;By reviewing researches related to macroscopic city heritage trail route planning,this study forms the main tasks and contents of route planning: First,cultural clues and corresponding space evaluation,concentrating on trail carriers selection.Second,comprehensive evaluation and construction of trail carriers,concentrating on post-trails selection evaluation.“Cultural clues and corresponding space evaluation”,this paper will define related concepts,further form specific operating process based on chorography and local historical documents,thereby extract the carrier of city heritage trails,filter cultural clues,and obtain related evaluation data.“comprehensive evaluation and construction of trail carriers”,this paper starting from the integrated,dynamic,and specific HUL approach,comprehensively evaluate the trail carriers characteristic of city heritage attribute and city pedestrian walkway under same framework.Apply the approach with combined evaluation of theoretical estimation and subjective using to the process of data collection and analysis,weight assignment,and graphical representation of evaluation results.Through the contents above,we will be able to generate city heritage trail route planning scheme and specific application and design strategy of each trail carrier.Wuhan Liuhe traditional style district carries the city information in modern times,which has diverse city context,rich historical information,profound cultural heritage andunique cultural value.Take this example for empirical study of city heritage trail route planning.First,verify the feasibility of the theoretical framework presented in this paper.Second,form deeper cognition to the heritage value and urban context of Liuhe traditional style district by teasing out the dynamic association between historical cultural clues and heritage resources.Through results of comprehensive trail carriers evaluation,this paper presents a suggested city heritage trail planning scheme and specific application strategy for this district.Third,this empirical study presents intuitive synergistic effect of urban street in heritage presentation and city development,meanwhile provides practical guidance to the street transformation of historic district and traditional style district.
