Research On The Traditional Environment Protection In Historic District Named Center Street Of Dingzhou Ancient City

Dingzhou is located in the central part of Hebei Province, and it’s the main origin and inheritance of the Zhongshan culture. Dingzhou has repeatedly been set as a state government, which has a heavy component in history. The Center Street of Dingzhou City lies in the central axis position of urban structure, and the main urban functions spread out along this axis. As the cultural axis of Dingzhou City, the central street should be paid attention. This study takes the traditional style of north-south strip area in the center street as the core, with the utilization of inductive analysis method, graphic analytic method, comparative analysis method and field research method, sorts out the historical context of Dingzhou Center Street in the aspect of area, block, architecture, landscape and cultural connotation, investigates the block status with contrast and evaluation between ancient and modern, generalizes the method to transform and promote the center street’s traditional style, which provides references and supports for the future of Dingzhou Center Street in creating the historical atmosphere, expanding the influence of cultural core and promoting the development of economic.
