As one of the most important engineering machines,wheel loader is widely used in mine,construction,ports,transportation and building of city.It has significance to do the research on the front frame cracking issue and structural optimal design to improve its strength,rigidity,reliability and ensure the safety of the wheel loader operation.This paper is focusing on the front frame cracking issue of 630 wheel loader under special paper mill working condition.With help of FEA(Finite Element Analysis)we research the problem and fix it successfully after lots of investigations in field to survey the actual machine behavior and operator's habits.Meanwhile I have research on the light weight design during the optimization of the front frame using topology method to get a lower weight of structure in prediction of enough strength,assembly requirement and good appearance.What's more important is we provide high quality product to customer,which is appropriate to use in paper mill and other severe working conditions.This new front frame satisfies the customers and gets the specific marketing accordingly,saves lots of warranty costs as well.This paper analyzes and optimizes the front frame of 630 wheel loader by using new technical methods such as FEA,topology optimization and fatigue analysis,which makes the new front frame light in weight and strong in carrying capacity.It also provides a reliable basis and valuable experience for the design of wheel loader structure.
